A Tribute to Yasujirô Ozu
A Tribute to Yasujirô Ozu
$300.00
An homage to Japanese film director, Yasujirô Ozu, he is considered one of the finest directors of all time. He often showed interior shots of a room before or after the actors entered the scene, using the tatami shot (a low camera angle) to show relationships in a family, hinting at drama and repressed feelings. The tunnel book is reminiscent of a theater set or a movie theater, while the letterpress images of a Japanese home and cutouts of shoji screens reflects family as well as absence.
